Distinguished Colleagues and friends,

Institute for Activism and Social Change is honored to invited you to its Closing Event within the program “Right to Truth – Fact or Fiction” for the launching of the assessment report on legal and institutional contexts of supporting the families of missing persons during communist dictatorship in Albania.

Through the presentation of some key findings, the discussion of the recommendations with state actors, national human rights institutions, civil society and academics, we aim to address the actual needs in dealing with the past, the fundamental importance of the family engagement through comparative lens with ECHR case law and other countries legacies. Such approach may be a point of reflection for the Albania’s challenges towards consolidation of rule of law.
